This culotte is made from pure Cool Wool. Inspired by the Japanese Hakama, a type of pleated wide-legged trouser skirt, it reflects the rich tradition and symbolic depth of this garment. Each of the eight pleats of the Hakama symbolizes a virtue, surrounding the wearer like a quiet presence that embodies serenity and inner strength. The tailored interpretation, which brings the traditionally voluminous garment closer to the body, gives the Hakama an elegant appearance and makes it suitable for everyday wear. These culottes strike a balance between flowing fabric panels and a sleek, flattering silhouette, making them both a representative and comfortable piece.
Details: Eight deep pleats. Welt pockets. Waistband with five hand-stitched belt loops. Concealed seamless zipper with additional facing. Seams and waistband finished with hand-cut bias tape. Hand-blind-stitched hem. Hook-and-eye closures stitched by hand.
