This deep blue, almost black cashmere jacket is an homage to the Sunday suit and the Boro jacket – garments passed down through generations. The focus is on the finest quality cashmere, with a refined and understated design that accentuates its exceptional craftsmanship. Every stitch and seam is placed with precision to preserve the fabric’s soft texture and natural drape.

The lining fuses Japanese Shibori techniques with Guinean textile craftsmanship—a remarkable example of how a global aesthetic language emerges. Between 1948 and 1949, Shibori artisans from Arimatsu exported their textiles to Africa, a collaboration that not only sustained Japan’s textile industry in economically challenging times but also forged a unique connection between two rich textile traditions.

The minimalist design draws attention to the exceptional material quality, precise craftsmanship, and cultural depththat define this jacket. It embodies a respectful approach to resources and the fusion of global influences into a truly distinctive piece.
